Paul graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and began his career in television. After 12 years in television news, he decided to focus on documentaries and was hired at WQED-TV (Pittsburgh PBS affilliate) in 1999. Beginning as TV photojournalist/editor at WQED, Paul’s role expanded to Director of Photography and Producer. In 2004, Paul graduated with a Master of Science degree in Multimedia Technology.
Over the course of his career, he has earned 45 Emmy awards (Mid-Atlantic), four Telly Awards, two Golden Eagle Cine awards, three Gabriel awards, an Edwin R. Murrow award, and many local and regional awards for his work in television.
His extensive professional background includes adjunct teaching, newspaper photojournalism, military procedural training, corporate communications and public relations, television news, documentary production, and special programming producing.
Paul has also done freelance work for national and international broadcasters such as the BBC, ESPN, CBS Sports, and CNN Sports. Along with his current television work, he owns Glass Valley Media, Inc. This video production company produces corporate video and documentaries. Paul and his wife Marie have six children and reside near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
